Why am I Contacting You? Why are you reading this?

God has laid this burden upon my heart over these recent months as this country falls into nearly complete collapse.  I am writing to ask you to prayerfully consider calling a Solemn Assembly in your church in order to beg God to relent!

What is the Problem?

It appears that Evil and Wickedness are flourishing to record heights in our World and across America today! We can see that America is falling apart right before our very eyes, and many are concerned that God is pouring out his judgment upon America for our longstanding and growing unfaithfulness to him. God often warns us of his impending judgments and gives us the opportunity to repent and beg him to hold back his hand of judgment.  

What is the Biblical Solution? Here are two classic scriptures that urge his church to call for a Solemn Assembly in times of trouble for just these purposes.   “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)   “Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and inhabitants of the land to the house of the Lord, your God, and cry out to the Lord. ‘Yet even now’ declares the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.’ Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.” (Joel 1:14, 2:12-13 ESV)

What is a “Solemn Assembly”?

A Solemn Assembly is a Day of Prayer, Fasting and Repentance called by a church when its leaders are moved by the Holy Spirit to believe that God may relent from his impending judgments if his people will cry out in their brokenness and repent. The Solemn Assembly is planned and blessed by God as a corporate process of repentance for the corporate body of the church. God has shown over and over again that he often blesses such obedience with actual relief from the impending doom by increasing the faith of his children and by destroying his enemies.

1.  America is falling apart fast! I urge you to act fast! So that you may pray that God may act fast!

2.  Please consider forwarding this suggestion of the Solemn Assembly to other churches, pastors and church officers around the country and around the world! If your church is part of a larger denomination, please consider forwarding this idea up to the denominational leaders and asking them to send it out to all of the churches in your denomination. I pray that God would create a worldwide grassroots movement of repentance and healing for our world!
